Almost
every week, it seems that a new “low voltage” contractor
opens their doors. From alarm companies to electrical contractors, everyone
seems eager to enter this growing marketplace. So, what makes Dominion
Design & Integration different from the rest?
Expertise.
Dominion Design & Integration was founded by Trey Hellums,
an electrical engineer who holds a professional engineering license
from the state of Texas. Before founding Dominion, Trey worked in the
industrial engineering field for over 10 years automating chemical plants
and other large industrial facilities. His experience in design, project
management, and construction are unrivaled. The projects undertaken
by Dominion are planned carefully, customers are informed of all their
options, and the systems installed perform as promised. Home technologies
continue to advance at a rapid pace. Builders need experts like those
at Dominion to ensure customer satisfaction and well-wired homes.
Professionalism.
Dominion Design & Integration strives to project a professional
image that is uncommon among many subcontractors in the homebuilding
industry. Employees of Dominion wear uniforms and arrive at jobsites
in marked company vehicles. Customer satisfaction is the number one
goal with the second goal being to make the builder look good. We never
forget that it is a privilege to work for some of the finest homebuilders
in San Antonio. We are always looking for ways to make their job easier.
As one superintendent with Stadler Custom Homes said, “Dominion
Design & Integration is one of the only subcontractors we have who
actually show up at the job when they say they will.”
Products and Services.
One very important difference about Dominion Design & Integration
is the incredible breadth of products and services that we offer homeowners
and builders. Our slogan is “everything low voltage,” which
includes security and fire systems, structured wiring, computer networks,
telephone systems, whole-house audio, home theater, lighting control
systems, and automation systems. Within each of these categories, Dominion
has aligned itself with the finest manufacturers in the world. We are
the only Sony CIS (Custom Installation Specialist) dealer in San Antonio
and one of only a handful of dealers authorized and trained to install
Lutron HomeWorks lighting control systems and AMX touchscreen automation
systems. Dominion has a full-time programmer, AutoCAD designer, and
state-licensed fire alarm planner on staff to complete the most complex
integration project.
CEDIA.
The Custom Electronics Design and Installation Association (CEDIA) is
comparable to the Homebuilders Association for the electronics industry.
Members must receive recommendations in order to apply for membership
and members vow to adhere to a code of ethics. Dominion
Design & Integration has been a member in good standing for several
years. Through its training and certification program, CEDIA has allowed
Dominion to continuously improve the skills of its technicians. CEDIA
education also helps its members stay informed on the latest advancements
in technology. Homeowners and builders are strongly encouraged to do
business with companies that are members of CEDIA.
